What we know
A 2,500x cap is the lowest figure this studio uses, and The Jade Path is the second game here to carry it: Le Sortudo, from August, stops at the same number on the same 3-of-5 rating. The other nine Hacksaw entries run from 10,000x to 50,000x, so 2,500x is a deliberate shape - and it explains the design.
The Jade Path Hold & Win, live since 15 October, is built around a hold-and-win round rather than a multiplier chase. Three orb symbols open it with three refilling lives that reset whenever an orb or a jaguar multiplier lands. Coin orbs pay cash values, jackpot orbs award one of five fixed jackpots, and jaguar multipliers multiply every coin orb on the grid. Three or more bonus symbols instead offer a choice between two free spins games.
Fixed jackpots and a low cap are a coherent pair. A game that can award a jackpot on any spin does not need a five-figure top end, and the variance rating of 3 out of 5 agrees with that reading.
The ladder has four rungs: 96.19%, 94.24%, 92.28% and 86.28%. Note how close the lower three sit to Wicked Grin's - 94.32%, 92.28%, 86.28%. The bottom two rungs are identical. Studios build these reductions from shared components rather than recalculating each game.
Never stated by this studio: reels and rows, how often the game pays, the stake limits, what a purchase costs. Nor, here, the size of those five jackpots.
