What we know

Reworking Book of Dead is the riskiest thing Play'n GO can do. The 2016 original is among the most played slots in Europe — a simple expanding-symbol book game with a 5,000x cap that survived a decade of mechanical escalation by being legible and cheap to spin.

GO Collect keeps that base and adds a collection layer: Gold Staters land on the reels and feed a Treasure Vault respin round that starts with three respins and resets the counter each time a new Stater appears. The ceiling doubles to 10,000x.

The addition is well judged in one respect and questionable in another. A hold-and-win round gives the game a second thing to chase, which the original conspicuously lacked. But the original's appeal was that it had exactly one idea, executed cleanly, and players could read the whole game in a minute. Bolting a second mechanic on is how a studio protects a franchise against newer competition, not how it improves a game that was already working.

Play'n GO has not published an RTP for this version. The 10,000x figure comes from coverage of the launch, not from a studio spec sheet.
